In this charming and heartwarming Aussie-mation, Laura and her kooky sloth family move to the big city with their prized family recipe book and a rusted old food truck – but will they adapt to life in the fast lane? The Sloth Lane, from Brisbane-based production company, Like A Photon Creative, opens in cinemas nationally on July 25 with a delightfully fun and heartwarming story, encouraging its audience to appreciate the delicious, funny, and wonderful parts of life, and ‘season the moment’!
The beautiful and vibrant film features an impressive range of both local and international talent. Dotti Pace, a quick witted cheetah and fast food mogul is voiced by Leslie Jones (Ghostbusters, Sing), Teo Vergara (Turn up the Volume, Crazy Fun Park) is the voice of speedy sloth Laura, Gabby (Laura’s mother) is voiced by Olivia Vásquez (Thor: Love and Thunder), while Ben Gorroño (Regresar al Final, Escisión, Pelícano) voices Luis, a big lovable sloth who gives the best hugs. Mani, the true sloth of the family, is brought to life by Facundo Herrera (Standing up for Sunny), Remy Hii (Spiderman: Far from Home, Crazy Rich Asians) voices Dotti’s side-kick technician Platy the Platypus, and Dan Brumm (Bluey, Combat Wombat: Back 2 Back) reprises his role as the voice of Chief Furbank.

Synopsis: After a terrifying storm destroys their home, a speedy sloth named Laura and her kooky family are forced to move to the big city with nothing but their prized family recipe book – and a rusted old food truck. The family’s delicious food soon catches the eye of a quick witted cheetah named Dotti (voiced by Ghostbusters‘ Leslie Jones) who will stop at nothing to revive her failing fast food business, Zoom Fuel. Featuring great Aussie voice talent including Dan Brumm (Uncle Stripe in Bluey) and Remy Hii (Spider-Man: Far From Home).
At its heart, The Sloth Lane is a coming-of-age story about a young girl discovering which path in life she wants to take, torn between pleasing the generations that came before her and the person she wants to be in the future. With a loveable and hilarious cast of supporting characters, this homegrown Aussie-mation is full of adventure, heart, and the most delicious food… slow cooked, sloth style!
The Sloth Lane will screen in Australian cinemas from July 25.
